BENITO’S BURRITOS

Benito’s Burritos is a local Scratch Kitchen that endeavors to bring you delicious food and personal service in a cozy atmosphere that reminds you of home. Their philosophy is that great food comes from the heart. They offer online ordering, catering, and delivery too.

The Challenge

Benito’s Burritos is a popular restaurant with hard-working owners Heather and Ben that do almost everything themselves. As their business grew their ability to consistently maintain their Wix website fell to a lower priority. Having little understanding on how to navigate the Wix platform they ultimately became frustrated with their online presence and wanted professional help to bring their site up to the standards that they provide their own guests.

In addition, Heather and Ben were ready to incorporate new online ordering capabilities and promote their catering packages which had not yet been a focus.

The Solution

I worked closely with Heather to come up with a design that was indicative of the fun, playful, friendly atmosphere that they work to provide their customers with. Because one of their main focuses was on promoting the ability to now order online, we incorporated several call-to-actions throughout their site to encourage visitors to use this new service.

We separated their catering services from their menu page to help bring focus to their catering packages and the services they offered. We allowed for both their main menu and catering menus to be downloaded and we used animated text, call-to-action buttons and different colored text and typefaces to prompt the user to book a catering event and/or order online.

Heather and Ben also have a fun program where they offer a discount for customers that “take Benito traveling with them.” Customers photograph themselves with Benito Burritos merchandise in front of well-known landmarks around the world then tag Benito’s Burritos on social media. To encourage a stronger social media following for this program, we implemented an album on their Facebook page titled ‘Adventures of Benito’ that included these photos, then linked this section of their website to that album.
